Windows 7 Themes for Windows 10

Hello there
As we all know that windows 7 is out of support January 14 this year, I have upgraded to windows 10 to keep my computer secure. However, the windows 10 UI looks a lot different than the windows 7 one and I kind of like the windows 7 UI better. I looked online at windows 7 themes and most of them either make my system crash and I did a system restore or they look nothing like the windows 7 one with the title bar too big and the buttons too, and the buttons lok tiny and squished on maximized windows. I know of programs like truetransparency and vystal that get the windows 7 look on windows xp, but none of these reliably work on windows 10, so I posted here in hope of finding a theme or program like the aforementioned for windows 10 so I get my theme back. I know that stardock's windowblinds will do it, but I will only buy it if there is no other solution. Thanks for the help in advance!

You really don't need a Win 7 theme. With a little effort you can make Windows 10 look pretty much like Windows 7.

I'm new here myself... been running Windows 10 just over a month. I felt the same way you do. I've gotten Windows 10 pretty much looking like Windows 7 already.

With nothing more than Googling, and the free programs WinAero Tweaker and Revo Uninstaller, it was fairly painless.

Here's pretty much what I've managed to do so far. The pics are fairly large, so I'll just provide a link.

There is also a program (free) called Open Shell, that will give you the Windows 7 Start Menu.

Hi, you can have transparency, rounded borders (for most windows) and coloured backgrounds (for many windows, including file explorer), and many Win 7 icons.

I made about 4 distinct changes from Win 8 onwards, costing under 5 euros total.

Note the Win 7 Orb, which launches Open Shell start menu which Ghot mentioned, and quite a few here use.

That supports deeply nested start menu folder structures, which no win 10 style menu does, as well as emulating Win 7 and XP-style menus- very configurable.
