Don't want application using Windows 10 theme

I use dark mode and a dark theme on my laptop. Problem is some apps use these colours when I open them, making them hard to read (I have to hover over each line to read it). Is there a way to force an application to use it's own default ? Example below shows my Wise Disk Cleaner colours and it's usual default colour (which is what I want).

I use W10 Pro 2004 but this was happening on 1909 too.

It depends- some programs (not so many) have their own set of skins independently of the O/S.

Some applications do not cope well with dark themes and in many cases there isn't much that can be done.

Many applications have no awareness of themes or colors. They simply show things in whatever colors are used by the system theme. Such applications generally work well with any theme.

But many developers desire more control. Applications have the ultimate control over their own appearance. It all depends on how far the developer wishes to go. Some provide a number of themes in which all colors work well together but that requires a lot of work. But often a developer will do things the easy way. They will use most of the system colors but make a few changes that look good with the default theme of whatever OS they are using. If these changes do not take into account the possibility of a dark theme things will go wrong. What you see is the result.

Unfortunately there is often little a user can do. The application may provide some control but very often they don't.

Okay, thank you Dalchina and LMiller7. It's what I figured but thought there might be a way around the issue.

    FYI:

I don't use dark theme. You can change window but it affects other windows.

Yeah, I know, I tried that. Oh well, I'll either put up with it or switch to a light theme. I've been using dark themes for so long I've gotten used to it though.

I might suggest testing the portable version of this:

    Information HDCleaner

    KurtZimmermannn Software

Some users report that it crashes. That is usually because they are missing .NET framework versions or VC++ runtime versions.

Here's another idea. Easily switch between dark/ light theme when running such applications where you cannot easily read the text in the dark theme.

Easy Dark Mode - Quick switching between Dark and Light

    Portable.

    Auto start with windows (optional)

Control via system tray or resizable floting panel on desktop.
