Trying to add screen savers; can't

I can use default screen savers, but I can't add and use new ones. The new ones won't activate. Can anyone help?

When I select a screen saver I added (e.g. flying windows) from screen saver settings, it doesn't activate.

Flying Windows was discontinued. I didn't see it in any of the screen savers on my computer. You can download it here, but be careful about 'bundled junk-ware that may com with it! http://www.tucows.com/preview/9202/Flying-Windows

I've found a website for installing screensavers through installers (Windows 10 Screensavers - Windows10Screensavers.net) but I can't get scr files (screensaver files) to work.

My non-default scr files are working again. I think it has something to do with memory. Thank you Jacee for your help.

Try right clicking on the scr file and choosing install or test

if test don't move your mouse

on occasion I have had to unblock and rarer occasions take ownership
