Hi, Qttabbar has many functions/possible effects on the behaviour of f. explorer. It takes some time to explore its options.

You can e.g. rt click a blank space in the tab bar it adds.. to see its options:

You will note there are many. Notice the one called 'Appearance'.

You will also see from that screenshot I've coloured some background areas.

Cick the ? to the top right of the Options window- and you will find basic help is displayed in your browser.

I prefer the customization options that Windows 11 has built-in.

I can't speak for Windows 11, but Windows XP was completely customizable. I still use it for everything that doesn't involve the internet.

I know that Windows XP was completely customizable. That should all be added in Windows 11 by now. Request all Windows XP customizations to be added into Windows 11's Feedback Hub.

From now on, the most reliable solution to find the dialog box of Windows 7 is to use this tool : Franco Tortoriello / WinClassicThemeConfig . GitLab

The interface is similar to the original, with many additional options.
It is also possible to use WinPaletter, which has evolved a lot since its creation.

Thanks for this information. I may be dense today, but I couldn't see the link for downloading his tool.

Join the club- a very quick glance didn't make it clear to me what it does. Seems to be particular to a certain theme.

Thanks. Oh, if all it does is create the classic theme, I already have that.

On this webpage, Franco Tortoriello / WinClassicThemeConfig . GitLab, on the left hand menu, select Deploy, Releases, and look for Latest Executables, which will take you to a Mega NZ page that has the compiled binaries.

Is there any information about how this WinClassicThemeConfig file differs from the modified control panel file that was posted to this thread sometime ago?
