    When you're dealing with colour changes, best use something that gives you access to a colour picker GUI.

    It's something included in various programs- maybe a dll or library .. I dont' know. But that dialogue has been around for a long time and is used in a number of programs: some random examples:

    Here's an example using a very old program (Stylefolder) that can be used to add comments to a folder:

    Thanks! I have S.M.A.C.C. I was thinking that this was an all purpose utility, rather than associated with different utilities (although S.M.A.C.C. is almost "all purpose").

    Ah, that sucks. Does the same settings exist in Windows 11 though?

    See #28. Plus many settings that were in that dialogue are irrelevant to Win 11's new style.

    However, for example, you can still change the background of programs like Wordpad with a registry change (which is what the dialogue did of course).
