Start Menu Tiles and their Icons - How to fill entire tile with Icon?
I have 3 shortcuts to websites... specifically links to Zoom conferences. I have pinned these shortcuts to the start menu as small tiles. I made 3 icons, one for each, in Illustrator, saved as PNG, then ran them through Gimp to save as Icons. Gimp has changed a LOT since I last used it, far less intuitive, but I got the images saved as Icons that the target files/shortcuts accept. So... My question isn't so much "How do I make icons for the tiles". At least, I don't think. When I've changed the Icon for the target file/shortcut, and then I go into the Start Menu, the tile (Small - so 50x50px) shows the new icon... but it fills only half the space of the tile. Pretty much NONE of the icons in the small tiles fill their entire tile. Not even the tiles/shortcuts/files I've never touched, with their default program or folder icons. They end up being nearly half the size of the tile, Medium tiles are just as bad, maybe worse, when they are shortcuts. Seems like only Icons embedded in Exe files or Apps fill the tiles completely. No from DLL files or custom Icons. Oddly, I have Adobe programs pinned to the start menu and they don't even fill the entire tiles either.
How can I fix this?
I want a small tile and I want the icon to fill the entire space of the tile.
Anyone have any thoughts?
