Hey Berton, I guess we have a difference of opinion on this one (but I respect your opinion).
This is what the gaming development world refer to as a K.S. (Known Shippable).
If Microsoft had designed the icons not be to changeable then I doubt they would have spent countless hours coding the option to change them (i.e. Desktop Icon Settings).
It's more likely that Microsoft has a broken code/string or simply leftover coding from a previous Windows OS.
In any case I thank you and everyone here for trying to help me figure this one out.
People who share their knowledge and experience on sites like these do it because they love to solve issues and help out, and that is tops in my book!
