You can't move shortcuts from those directories, you have to make copies, then hide the folders/shortcuts you don't want to see.
Yes I know, I never used the Windows Explorer part of CS or OS, just the start menu by itself.

hmmm, do any of you guys have a Windows PowerShell folder in the ProgramData start menu path?

Seems my laptop wants to keep recreating it. I deleted it as one isnt present on my desktops, one isnt present in my VM, one isnt present in all the googled screenshots I could find of that folder.

yet when I run a sfc /scannow on the laptop, it finds corruption and replaces that damned folder lol.

oh boy. windows what will i ever do.

thanks for the reply. oddly enough, doing an /sfc scannow on ANY of my other pc's doesnt recreate it.

nothing like a bit of continuity microsoft. Ah well. I guess my options are delete it and dont run sfc ever. Or dont delete it and deal with that pc being weird for w/e reason :P

You can extract it from an image or an ISO of your version/release. You also can try Google, may get lucky?

and thats the build all of my pc's EXCEPT the laptop are on. Perhaps theyre jumbling things about cause they like to make ocd fellas such as myself go crazy.

or trying to lessen the load on the servers by getting people to opt out of updates >.<
