How To Increase Height Of Quick Access Toolbar

Is there any way to increase the size (height) of the Quick Access Toolbar, so the icons will show larger? They are on the small size for my old eyes. I am meaning the Explorer toolbar under File, Home, Share, View, Drive Tools as per my screenshot.

I know I can expand it by clicking on the arrow at the far right but I am wanting to have the symbol sizes show larger when it is not expanded.

I don't believe that there is a way to make the quick access toolbar larger. If you prefer larger icons you could simply open the ribbon bar which will provide all the functions you might have on the quick access. Granted, it doesn't have the same customization, but everything that you would have on the quick access toolbar should at least be available with bigger icons.

Open the ribbon by clicking the arrow in the upper right as shown in the screenshot below. How To Increase Height Of Quick Access Toolbar-i2.jpg

    Maybe...

PC Settings -> Ease of Access

    Also -

Downloads / Software / Winaero Tweaker

    Worth a shot.

    Ease of access... no go.

Winaero. Will change heaps of settings but not the height of a Toolbar. Thanks for the link as I used the program to widen my Scrollbars :)

Until an option comes available to change the height of a Toolbar (and increase the size of the symbols it contains in proportion), I will just have to use the option you point out. Thanks.

You could reduce your display resolution in Settings, Display. That would increase the size of everything.

    @Denis
Just tried that. Was at 1080, reduced to 720. That increased the size of the Icons in the toolbar to an acceptable level but the trade-off, in increase in size of everything, is too much to accept. I will live with the small Icons. Thanks for your suggestion.

Even having it in the titlebar and increasing the height of the titlebar does not change the size of the icons.

I find I never use it, anyway- there are ways to do all it offers elewhere.

Can you right click on your desktop>Display Settings. Once there, scroll down to Scale and layout. You have the drop down menu options of "changing the size of text, apps, and other items". You can increase the percentage to 125% or 150% and see if that helps.
It does make all items (icons) bigger on the desktop though. Programs don't seem to increase.

Thanks. Tried that and it does make it, and other things, larger. It is the increase in size of other things that I don't like. I will live with the original size. Maybe, one day, Microsoft will allow the increase of the height of the Toolbar AND the icons inside it, without impacting on other settings/sizes.

Yea, I agree that it would be nice to just have the option to increase the toolbar height.

    Tap.....tap.....tap.....Hello Microsoft?
    Are you listening?!?
