    log on screen?

I don't know where to post this ...in fact, since upgrading to Win 10 pro several months ago, I don't even know what to call what I'm seeing.

When I turn on my computer in the morning, I see a screen displayed for a minute or so before the desktop and Windows operating system appears. It seems to come in two versions:

    log on screen?-20191211_165741_-640_x_480-.jpglog on screen?-20191212_074559_-640_x_480-.jpg

I assume this is some sort of log on screen but not only is it out of focus (that's exactly how it looks), there doesn't seem to be any ability to add input (such as a password).

So I don't know what t this is, or what to call it and truth to tell it doesn't seem to affact any other thing. But It is annoying.

Any ideas? I would appreciate any suggestions, information or advice.

Go into your Lock Screen settings, and uncheck box to show background on lock screen

    Thank you!

I wouldn't mind a background on my lock screen but not one that is out of focus. I particularly like the idea of having the time displayed but not so much my initials / name.

    Any further suggestions / advice?

In later versions, they got rid of the blur, now the lock screen/login is clear. If you press the Windows Key + L is it still a blurred screen? Changing it from Windows Spotlight might also get rid of blur.

When do I press Win Key + L? In that moment when it appears (all too briefly) at boot up? (I had a hard time catching it to photograph it with my phone)

Also, I am on version 1903 and I only upgraded about two months ago...I know 1909 is out but I have not updated to it. Not in any particular hurry.

So, if I changed it from Spotlight, what would I change it to? Some random-browse-to-it photo on my system?

    Hello @DWFII,

The tutorial below can help to disable the acrylic blur effect on your sign-in screen so it will no longer be blurry.

Thanks. Followed the tutorial and changed it. Won't really know if it worked until tomorrow morning but I am confidant it will.

I didn't see any option to get rid of my initials or enable a clock display on the lock screen...are there options to do that...either/or?

If you are in Windows and press the Windows Key + L for the lock screen, it shows time and date...
