Please forgive this very stupid newbie question, but I'm still getting up to speed on Windows 10 Pro. My Windows 10 screen saver (or perhaps it's the lock screen) shows random nature photos with links to each photo. I'm sure you know what I mean; it's some kind of default. I can't find how to disable this, and I know there's an easy setting somewhere. Sorry to ask this. Thanks for the help.
You can't turn Off the pictures on the Lock Screen, (the screen with the random nature photos that loads before the login screen) but you can Disable the Lock Screen so it goes directly to your Login Screen

Oh yes you can. At least, you can turn off those random pictures with links. They are from Windows Spotlight. You can change the lock screen to use one of your own pictures instead, or a slideshow of your own pictures. If you'd prefer a single solid colour, then use MS Paint to make a picture with the colour of your choice, save it, then set it as your lock screen background.

I'd agree with Bree, I turned my lock screen off using pictures. Option one Step #4 or you can use Option two.
In my case I use option one step #4 and personal photos in my pictures library. Oops! 'They' don't call them Libraries anymore do they?
I got to thinking about what spunk had posted and technically (imho) s/ he is correct, the user is not turning the lock screen off but disabling it by replacing it with a choice from the user or changing the setting to go directly to the login.

I was working in a computer store back in '94 building 80386 and 80486 computers with MS-DOS 5 and Windows 3.1 and non-interlaced CRT monitors, the screensavers weren't as needed like with the interlaced versions before them, were only needed to prevent "burn-in" of the phosophorus coating on the inside of the CRT itself.
I know, I had to install one of those 21" CRT's, the thing was almost as big as the desk I am using today. It must have weighed 60 to 90 Lbs. Back in the day I saw many of those monitor's with burnt in images. Screensavers today are just for looks. But why add more processes to Windows 10, I have over 150 running now.
You still need to be careful with some modern AMOLED screens, some from Samsung, (mostly on Phones and tablets), can suffer from Burn in
I had it happen to me on an S7 phone, I had my old phone set-up to switch to a clock during the night (used to be on a stand next to bed) I transferred this setup to the new phone and after a week or two I noticed the borders and number blocks showing faintly on any light/white - I returned and had it replaced under warranty but have been careful with AMOLED phones since then.
