Customize menu bar, scroll bars, etc.

In Win 7 you could select elements of the desktop and windows--menu bars, scrollbars, title bars, etc, and change the colour. Is there some way...utility, app, etc.....to do this in Win 10?

For instance, in most applications, I can hardly see the slider on the scroll bar--it's light grey on a lighter grey.

And I feel like I have less control over the interface and what I want to see when I get up each morning than I did in Seven.

    Am I missing something...or is Windows 10?

    Hi, try Superfly's SMACC (free)
    S.M.A.C.C - Superfly's Mouse Assisted Color Chooser

MS has removed the dialogue that used to be present in Win 7.

Thank you. I will look into it.

That said, I am not familiar with GitHub and am not sure how to DL S.M.A.C.C.. Is there another site where the latest stable release can be found?

PS...does SMACC allow recolouring the scroll bars as well? I don't see it in the screen shot.

You might find adjusting your graphic card settings helps if there's not enough contrast (it's not a great choice by MS)
Customize menu bar, scroll bars, etc.-1.png
That's what I see- (when I first got this PC I had to make some small adjustments for the entire screen presentation).

Is there any problem...as with some 'add-ons'...that a subsequent update of Windows 10 will erase or re-set S.M.A.C.C's colours and so forth?

Hi, these are registry settings. That they are applied by a 3rd party tool is not a consideration here- you could, less conveniently, use a registry editor or .reg files.

I find the ones I use stay as set.

You can backup your settings as a theme file (no wallpaper) or themepack with wallpaper(s)

Customize menu bar, scroll bars, etc.-capture.png

If it does get changed by an update, you can restore settings by launching the saved file.
