    Is there any way of making the box "type here to search" any smaller. I would just like to see the magnifying glass icon only.

    Hi carrotmuseum, I do not know how to make the search box smaller, but to have the magnifying glass, just right click on the Taskbar, hover over Search, and to the right click show search icon.
