Lost pictures on switching on laptop! New Version!

Have just upgraded to the latest version of windows 10 and all ok except!...………………...previously every time I switched on my laptop there was a nice picture (which changed occasionally) and stayed on screen until I signed in when it disappeared.
Now when I switch on all I get is a blue screen with a hazy picture and the usual sign in icon for administrator. How to I get the option of the initial picture back?
    Thanks

You should still be seeing the same Spotlight pictures, and they can still be seen crystal clear on the Lock screen (Winkey+L) but on the sign in screen 1903 introduced what MS call 'acrylic blur'. According to MS "The translucent texture of this transient surface helps you focus on the sign-in task by moving the actionable controls up in the visual hierarchy while maintaining their accessibility."

You can turn off the blur effect, see this tutorial.

Enable or Disable Acrylic Blur Effect on Sign-in Screen in Windows 10
