How to prevent links from lock screen from opening in Edge?

In our small office I am using Chrome web browser with specially set up GPO restrictions that provide white-listing for which websites can be visited, etc. Chrome is also set up as default web browser.

So I just noticed today, that if someone clicks one of these links from a lock screen (circled in red):

It will open up in Edge, even though I set up Chrome as a default web browser.

Can someone tell me how to change this?

Or, if it's not possible, how can I uninstall Edge?

I found a way how I can remove Edge, but when I follow instructions the SQL DB tool fails with this error:

DB Browser for SQLite---------------------------Error changing data:no such function: workid

Any idea how I can remove that Edge?

They lose a gigantic antitrust case for anticompetititve tying of their browser to their OS, then they fail to provide the option to remove their browser through add/remove programs, then they deliberately ignore the user's default browser selection so they can promote their own crappy browser again (but it's linking from the welcome screen so it's like totally different and stuff), then they make the astonishingly bad design decision to hard-code a dependence by SQLite on their browser. And Microsoft wonders why it's one of the most loathed companies on the planet. What a garbage heap.

Either I got lucky or it's not as hard as people make it out to be. I simply blocked Edge in my firewall settings and now every link opens in Chrome. Even Windows links in settings.
