    Desktop display :automatic photo changes

Is there a way to set-up the photo selection process so that each day a different photo from a folder is automatically displayed on my desktop?

Paste explorer shell:::{ED834ED6-4B5A-4bfe-8F11-A626DCB6A921} -Microsoft.Personalization\pageWallpaper into a Run box,

That run command opens an otherwise inaccessible part of Control Panel.

The same settings are to be found in Settings > Personalisation > Background.

    Thanks

Just want to make sure you received my thanks (clicked `thanks` but not sure if it was recorded - can't see indication of that)

It's recorded on the user's profile rather than in the thread.

I've been looking for a similar feature to use the Bing image of the day but without installing third party apps.

Yes, got a notification, thanks. It's also listed on the Reputation Board in the Community menu, top of this page.

The Control Panel and the Settings method are both showing and modifying the same registry entries. Set it in one then open the other and you'll find they show the same thing.

MS are gradually moving controls from Control Panel into the Settings app, the first step is to hide the control panel version (but leave it active, if you know how to find it). The next step may be to remove the Control Panel version completely in a later version of W10.

Thanks for the context information. The big picture really helps to retain the information. I'm sorry for the loss of Control Panel. I liked this idea of having a central point of direction

Question : why is there a `title`dialog box over a reply within a thread ?

    Like this, you mean?

It's only available if you use the advance editor by clicking Go Advanced, the Quick Reply box doesn't have it. It's optional (as you'll see if you hover the mouse over it). Used sparingly it can be useful to emphasise a reply. I usually don't bother.

Like that, yes. It's always there for me. I don't recall having selected "Go Advance", but I must have.

I'll ignore it. Thanks again for your help

Ah ! I see it now. I was using the other " + Reply-to-Thread" button next to "Mark-Unsolved".

I'll get the hang of it eventually. In the meantime, I beg your patience !
