    Change right-click menu selection color?

I've updated to version 1903 today and notice a ridiculous change: in the right-click menu (such as right-clicking the recycle bin), the selection color showing you what option you are on with your mouse is now white. Since the menu is also white (less white, so fortunately there is a small difference, but still), that means it's white on white! Just what brilliant genius at Microsoft came up with that?

Is there any way to change this back to what it used to be (I already forgot what it was before as I never paid attention to it, but it certainly wasn't white on white)? For instance, if I right-click on something in my browser, it's blue instead of white, making it way easier to see what selection I'm exactly on with my mouse. I know how to work the registry, so a registry change is fine.

EDIT: here's a pic to show what I mean. In the first menu you can hardly see I have "Prullenbak leegmaken" selected because it's white-on-white, while on the second menu you can clearly see I have "Vorige" selected because it's a much more clear blue color.

Searching this forum shows this has been reported by a few. It's not my experience of 1903, nor is it normal or expected.
Can Someone Confirm That My Context Menu Is Fubared In Dark Mode?

Hope that points you in the right direction.
That seems to be a different issue: from what I understand from that topic, the user uses the dark app-mode and it shows a white right-click menu with barely readable text, while it's supposed to show a black right-click menu which is shown properly in his edit where he shows it works properly on another user. However, I use the light app-mode where the right-click menu is supposed to be white in the first place, and all text is properly readable: my only problem is the selection color, not the actual text.

EDIT: Made a screenshot to show exactly what I mean. You see 2 right-click menus: 1 of my recycle bin, and 1 in my browser (yeah, I know IE11 is very outdated): in the first I have "Prullenbak leegmaken" selected, and you can see it's nowhere near as clear it's selected than "Vorige" in the other menu, due to the white-on-white color.

Sorry, jumped to a conclusion first time. Yes, mine's the same in 1903.

    And see (e.g.)
What'''s with the new menu highlight colour on 1903? : windows

You might try (not checked) but I don't think it addresses this:

    https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/133894-change-highlighted-text-color-windows-10-a.html

This is the colour of the text, not the colour used for the selection of the field. but might be usable to make it clearer if necessary.

So as of now there's not a solution for this? That's unfortunate. Hopefully someone can find out something, but in the meantime I guess I'll just either have to get used to this or change the menu color itself. Regardless, thanks for the answer of course!

    See:
    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...5-c66e2d9f2c29

But I think that's not relevant to the context menu.

For example, if I select the text in a desktop icon shortcut, the highlight is blue.
