    Desktop background not working

I've gone into the personalizaion menu and clicked the background tab, selected slideshow, selected my folder, chose how often i want the pictures to change and chose my fit and no picture pops up in the background. I've restarted my laptop and still nothing seems to work.

Hello Amaya, and welcome to Ten Forums. :)

For now, double check using option 5 or 6 in the tutorial below to see if there may have been something you missed.

    hello, everyone.
if other options did not help, I had this same problem.

please try settings>ease of access>other options>visual options as title then simply turn on "show windows background"..

this option has helped with showing my background pictures I hope this can help everyone else aswell thank you for reading :)

I can't believe it but this worked for me
    Rt clik personalization as usual
In "background" box select "solid color" (slideshow was previously selected, but didn't work)
    Then reselect "slideshow"
The pictures sub folder I had previously browsed for now acts as a slideshow!
(the other parameters, eg. "fit" also work)
