Change Icons Need Help

Gathered from the excellent tutorials in this forum.

Change This PC folder icons (3D Objects, Documents, Music etc), also changes quick access icons.
Run Regedit as Admin.

If you need to change permissions, right-click key, choose permissions, type Administrators, click check names, Click apply, ok, apply.
Click the DefaultIcon key under the Main keys listed below (If not present, right-click listed Main key, choose new key to create it, and add string value(Default)
Change right-hand string Data value for new icon.
Example : %SystemRoot%\system32\imageres.dll,-198 is the default for 3D Objects folder
Example : "C:\Windows\System32\Example.ico" (include speech marks) is what to change it to.

yeah, that's where I got the info from...was bored so put it together for him.
will add that for default folders to show the change you need to choose "always show icons not thumbnails" from folder view options.
