    Lock screen image is blurred

I've noticed an unwanted change on the lock screen since updating to 1903, this is on both my desktop (Home) and laptop (Pro) while the sign on box is up, the lock screen image is blurred to the point of being unrecognizable.

The desktop is set to sign on automatically so the entire time the lock screen image is present it is nothing but a blur, on the laptop it does this after I press any key to bring up the logon box. This happens on both my computers and my wife's two laptops, one Home version and one Pro.

It's certainly not a deal breaker for the 1903 update, but this serves no useful function, and is an annoyance.

Is it just me and my systems, or do others see this too? And is there any fix/hack/work around I can do?

TIA for reading, and any for responses

It's a feature, not a bug; but can be disabled if you hate it:

Thank you for directing me to the tutorial @NMI I've downloaded and ran the reg file, haven't tested it yet but I have no doubt it'll work as advertised. Rep for you

And thanks to @Brink for his work publishing them I've been helped by the tutorials many times

edit: just tested and it works as I knew it would
