Can you change Control Panel Applets texture/colour on Windows 10?

The title says it all. I'm wondering if you can add an image in VSB or some other sort of edit HEX? So that you'd be able to change the control panel sidebar applet design.

I've seen it in a couple of themes.
But most of these themes include a complete black or any other different colour, not just the applet itself.

    Thanks in advance.

Hi, please confirm you do not have Win 7 as your specs show. This is tenforums, rather than sevenforums... thanks.

It doesn't look as if Qttabbar (an explorer-related 3rd party add-on) supports that, although it colours different regions of file explorer dialogues.

Yes, I'm talking about Windows 10 1803 Pro. Not my Win 7 Enterprise. I've got dualboot on my machine. Best of both worlds.

My guess is you'd need a theme of some sort.. or maybe a Stardock product if WindowBlinds is still current.

I'm already creating a custom theme with VSB, I'm not new to this scene at all. WindowsBlinds is really bad, the only stardock product that's decent is Fences and maybe IconPackager, except it's livefolders problem...

I'm talking about this applet. Usually I think in resource hacker it's value is #633. I believe on Windows 7.
Not sure if it's even possible to do such thing on Windows 10.
Maybe if I stretch an entire pic in the back, or change the entire colour.

But I only want to add a texture to the applets control panel sidebar.

    Like for instance this pic:
(And yes, I do know this is TT- True Transparency and WindowsBlinds on Windows XP)

Just trying to figure out a way manually, without an external program that takes away RAM usage and works like bloatware on my machine.

    Yes, exactly like that!
Btw, that theme atlas looks familiar. I swear I have the exact same one in green. I picked it up from somewhere... I think it's MSFN forums or something like that...

Right..., I'm sorry, but I can't help but notice. Why do you start every post of yours with "Hello?".
    Anyways, back to the topic.
Do you actually know how to use alternate RH for that, or you're simply showing me a theme you're using?
I'm gonna go with a panel I used from some previous themes, one of these 2:

EDIT: I got it to work.
You can open up shell32.dll just like Windows 7 with the ResourceHacker.
And it's literally the exact same Bitmap (#633).
Just get a pic of that size, and replace the white bitmap with whatever you're looking for.
In case you want stuff back, make sure to create a backup.
