Auto expand explorer LEFT pane window

    Auto expand explorer LEFT pane window


    Hello!

    Is there a way to have windows explorer auto expand the folder your in on the LEFT pane as well as the right?

    There is a check box in the File Explorer options under Navigation Pane, Always Expand to Open Folder

    Note- you may have to kill all explorer.exe processes and launch one or restart the last instance using the task manager, or log out, log in for this to take effect.

    Thanks! I had done that but didn't reboot and it wasn't doing anything. I'll do that now. Ü

    One of the strange things about file explorer to me, is that in the navigation pane, one click gets you the folder contents on the right side, two clicks gets you the subfolders shown in the navigation pane...

    I'd actually never noticed that. Not sure the difference but I've been on Windows 7 till a month ago... hung on as long as I could but was forced to go Windows 10 with a new machine. I'm getting used to it. Ü
