I wouldn't mind seeing a 'Custom Shells' thread, I love seeing what users can accomplish in that respect.
Myself, I'm more geared to performance so, I'd be more apt to stripping the shell down rather than fancying it up.
I think it might be kinda tough finding or creating a custom shell to work flawlessly in W10TP seeing as how the native shell is so screwed up in the first place.
But, by all means, if you've got something to share, throw it up here, we'd love to see it!
What do you mean by "Custom Shell"?
Could you explain it a little better? What I understood is something like disabling services, animations, etc?
I think Edwin is referring to something like Classic Shell or Start8. Both are custom shell tools.
I think he is speaking about something like this ..........

Instead of the boring feel you get after using Windows after a while, custom themeing or third party themes.
How is it in terms of system resource usage?
Because I install my themes manually and do not use and crap like Stardocks Window Blinds my resource usage is zero, nada, nill. My system is just as fast as any standard Windows setup.

My sister lives in Westerville, Ohio, near Columbus. Her sons are big time computer guys, one works for Time Warner, the other for IBM until he got caught up in the big lay off they had. Had another job before the week was out. Those young men were playing cards on the computer before they ever held cards in their hands. Their Dad has done repair most of his adult life.

One of the most famous and oldest bridges in my country. Our Nobel Prize winner got the prize for historically accurate novel about it's building. It's said that two virgins were built in alive during it's building.
