    Yes, that's a workaround... except that whenever I click on the window, the block, of course, disappears.
    Also, blocking off the top third of the monitor is kind of overkill.

    I'm surprised there's not more on this on the internet.
    I can't be the only person who would like to have more flexibility when it comes to positioning windows on a desktop.

    I created this account just to say that the solution by CountMike still does work for me today (Still using windows 10) and that teachermark, you are not the only one searching for this, I thank you so much for your question posting here and whoever posted at Microsoft (https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...f-f73bc434a0de)

    I finally managed to shift that top part of the window off screen. Cheers!
