Cannot locate custom Lock Screen images in W10 Pro 1809

    Hi all -

I set custom Lock Screen images for two accounts on a single system, but cannot locate the actual path so I can make a backup of it.
Obviously, it is stored somewhere, but I would rather find a solution here than just digging around.

    These are not Spotlight images.

    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Hey Brian,

How did you go about setting the lock screen images?

This is for Windows Spotlight images.
I need to find a custom image that I set for the Lock Screen background.

    Thanks anyway.

    Simple.

Just browsed a static image folder and set it. No slideshow.
Wish I had a backup of it. Now it's embedded in the OS.

This should have been relatively easy, lol.

As a test, click on the Browse button in the lock screen settings when you have Picture selected to see if it may open to the location of the current image.

    Hi Shawn -

Just my Desktop folder opens, looking for a file.

Hmm, is the image you wanted to find shown on the preview in the lock screen settings?

    Yes.

It's almost laughable. I'm in the Registry now.

I've been hunting in the registry as well, and can't find a reference for it yet.

Do you have your Desktop folder saved or synced to another location? For example: OneDrive
