    Start menu tile customization

    Hi Guys,

Okay so I upgraded from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10.

When I first installed Windows 10 the Start Menu had categories like "Life at a glance" and so on. However, I removed all of the tiles because at that time I felt like I didn't need them.

Now, I would really like to have the News tile and Weather tiles back but adding them to Start Menu doesn't seem to be able to activate the Animated versions that I had of these tiles when I first installed Windows 10. Like shown:

As you can see in the above image the "News tile" has a live picture and title relating to certain news whilst mine is a static tile and doesn't act this way. I have tried turning Live Tile on and also making the tile larger in size.

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to make the tiles animated again.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I just tried adding it back. After a minute or so after turning it on, it went "live".

Did you add the "News" app from the "All apps" menu?

Yes. I just tried removing and adding it again. It went live right away.

Maybe I changed certain settings that affects the News tile. I shall leave it and see if it becomes "Live" any time soon.
