    Window borders

    Hello:

I am not very familiar with Win 10, and while I have tried, I have not found a way to solve this: when windows/boxes open on top of other windows/boxes, they are very hard to make out, because they all have white background and no borders. So, if someone feel compelled to help , kindly let me know how I can set borders so that windows are clearly delineated.

    Thanks,

    Hans L

    Hi There

Change the settings in Windows Settings, Personalisation, Colours

    Set transparency effects to off
Check option: Start, taskbar and action centre
Check option: Title bars and window borders

if you need more width on the borders, install winareo tweaker.

Choose Advanced Appearance from the left pane and select Window Borders.

or the option below already posted on this forum
Install Aerolite Theme in Windows 10 | Tutorials

    Hope this helps

    Hi Hans -

Alternately you can try WindowBlinds from Stardock Software:

    Take care!

jl2509, thank you! I checked out winareo, and perhaps it is a little more than I need. Would Aerolite be okay?

Reminds me of my first reaction when Win 10 was all white, or almost so, no borders at all...

    Hi Hans

Of course, Aerolite would be fine but there are also other options available as pointed out by fellow forum members

    Just my 2 cents...

Aero-Lite theme works okay with Windows Light, if you switch to Dark Explorer, jump lists get bleached out!

And, of course, there's Windows Blinds, for those of us who can't get enough eye-candy!!!
