    White lock screen background issue

My lock screen has a plain white background for some reason. I've tried switching it multiple times to different images in the lock screen settings with no change. When I hit enter on my lockscreen and go to the password entry screen I DO see the correct background.

    Any help is appreciated.

The following tutorial explains how the lock screen background can be changed. Have a look through it and also the many related tutorials at the end to see if it can help.

Change Lock Screen Background in Windows 10

What version of Win 10 are you on? Did you ever modify the lockscreen settings in the past?

Have unfortunately gone through all these steps in the tutorial with no luck.

I'm on 1809. I only modified my lock screen in that I have enabled the windows spotlight for the lock screen.

Edit: Okay I think I figured out the culprit. It's a third party app displayfusion that has the ability to change the lockscreen, but oddly, this lockscreen changing ability is totally turned off. Yet it seems to be affecting it.

It must have made some entry in the Registry and may go back to the time before the Spotlight pictures were introduced. Have you been able to fix it by removing that app?

Turning off the app does fix it. I have an email out to the devs. Thanks
