    lock/login screen issue

hi. just an FYI--MS was of absolutely no help here--no surprise there, though...
i have personalized the lock/login screen with a picture from my computer.
    it always showed upon start/restart.
all of a sudden--at first only from time to time, but recently, more frequent--a picture will come up instead of the one i set. it is in the same vein as the four stock MS images available in the personalization settings--but is not one of them. nor is it a photo from my computer.
i am baffled. i have searched and searched and have not been able to find a similar issue described anywhere. as i said, MS was of no help--a 'moderator' who didn't have a very good grasp of english grammar proceeded to give me the instructions on how to personalize my lockscreen picture. DUHR. really sad, especially, since even the title of my post made it obvious that i had already done that. if i hadn't, i wouldn't be having this issue, right? sheesh.
hoping someone here might be of some assistance.
this is 64 bit build 1803.
    thank you!!

I've noticed the same or similar..., a stock image showing before I'm logged in...

apparently it resides in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\SystemData in folder called LockScreen_W...

I have the same issue with 1809... this damn ugly default picture always shows up on first boot/login, even I changed it. How do I work around this issue?

For your reference, Changing the wallpaper on the BOOT, LOCK, and LOGON screens.

Very rarely, the default MS picture would pop up again, so I moved all the undesirable pictures inside \Windows\Web\Screen (that's my system, don't know about yours) to another folder. That's it.

I shared my experience for your reference in Changing the wallpaper on the BOOT, LOCK, and LOGON screens. Also, what I did to the MS pictures inside \Windows\Web\Screen when they popped up very rarely.

If you can't find your solution there, you'll have to find it from someone else.

    Try moving them somewhere else?

I think hello10 has no idea, what were talking about here. This seems like a bug, which was introduced with 1809. Windows seems to always load the default lock screen for the FIRST BOOT (no login yet), regardless, if you set a new bg for the lockscreen (and toggled show it also on log in screen). His "solutions" dont work.

One more test, back in a couple minutes......
