Automatically Rotate Lock Screen/Sign In Without Windows Spotlight

There are plenty of how to's showing the procedure using Windows Spotlight but I do not want to use that nor do I want a slide show and in addition I would prefer not to install any software that would accomplish this although a completely self sustained portable app would be acceptable. My lock screen option looks like this and I would like to keep it this way the only change being the lock screen/sign in picture would change each day from a selection of pictures from a folder of my choosing. Thanks for responding. Not sure I quite understand what you mean by using the "Picture setting." A cursory google search just left me confused : )

A lot of the suggestions seemed to indicate background settings and still more using Silver Light.

Even if I DID know how to do that : ) would that accomplish what I want which is each day when I boot up the machine I want to see a different log in or lock screen picture from a folder of my choice (the picture can be the same and it does not have to change from the lock screen to the log in screen) only change each day and just for clarification I am not at all talking about the background screen once I reach the desktop.

Imagine you log in on Monday with picture 1. When you log in, the script runs (scheduled task) (once that day even if you log out/shut down again the same day). The script copies picture 2 to the appropriate location. Next time, and until the script is run the next day, assuming you log in the next day, you see picture 2.

Autohotkey is a free scripting language. You can, for example, put just one line in a file and run it by double clicking that file.
It checks the syntax and tells you on which line there is a problem.

You can compile the script by rt clicking the file, clicking Compile to create an exe file.

You can select the picture by browsing
