size of mouse cursor changing from Windows 10 to WSL bash shell

    Hi,

I am using WSL Linux Ubuntu bash shell for my work in Windows 10 Pro. I have noticed that the size of the mouse cursor (that is normal in Windows 10 browser) getting reduced in any documents opened from WSL Linux bash shell.

Can anyone please help me to sove this issue.

    Thanks in advance.

Not knowing which desktop/display you are using but do you have a menu like the Windows Start and does it show Preferences then Mouse and Touchpad? If so you should be able to change the pointer size, I had to on my Mint but it is a standalone/single boot machine using Cinnamon. Booting the Linux Mint LiveDVD had the same setting but naturally couldn't save the setting during reboots. I believe Ubuntu is based on the same Debian as Mint but haven't used Ubuntu in several years.

Thanks Berton for your reply. I am using Windows 10 pro and yes it has preferences for changing mouse pointer which is very easy and there are many links in the web for that.

But I am facing different problem. I set reasonable size of my mouse cursor and see the same size whenever I place the mouse cursor on any documents opened in Windows. But, I am also using Linux Bash shell in Windows (WSL). If I open a document from Linux Bash shell in windows (WSL terminal, for me Ubuntu) and place the mouse cursor on the document I find mouse cursor size gets reduced.

That is the problem I am facing here.

Please give me a solution for it.

    Thanks.

Since it is usually a hardware issue I think the only way it would work will be in a dual-boot situation, apparently the WSL doesn't work well reading or having drivers for the mouse. I've been fortunate as Linux Mint has had all the drivers needed, even the current Version 19 now has drivers for my LaserJet printer where I had to go with third-party in older versions.
