    Multiple display UI control options

I don't know if there's a way to do this already, but I would like to customize how the taskbar and windows menu works when I have multiple displays connected. Basically, I would like to choose which display hosts the taskbar (ie. not my main display I play games on). I would prefer the taskbar on my secondary display so that I can use my main monitor for gaming without needing to key the windows button to see the taskbar for notifications, accessing sound options, etc. I would instead be able to move my mouse over to the other screen without interruption.
Along with this, I would like to choose where the pop-up notifications display, as I would rather they be on the top left of my second monitor than the bottom right of my primary monitor. Being able to spread out where things pop up instead of overlaying on top of what I'm doing would be greatly helpful. every so often I get bombarded with notifications from my e-mail and can get distracting.
For the windows button and pinned apps, I would like to see a function where any program I open will open on the display that I choose it from. So if I chose to open a web browser from my second monitor, the browser would open on the second monitor, and then immediately choose to open another browser by pressing the pinned button on my main monitor so another browser opens except it opens on the main display. That way I don't have to keep moving it if I wanted to open something up on a certain display. I would like all my software to open this way, easily allowing me to quickly choose and execute the programs of my choice on the display of my choice.

Hello Jedi, and welcome to Ten Forums.

If you like, you could do this below to have your main taskbar on a different display than your main display.

    1) Unlock the taskbar.
    2) Drag and drop the main taskbar to the display you want it on.
    3) Lock the taskbar.

I'm sorry, what I meant was the notification area of the taskbar. I use the icons to get to sound manager, keyboard controls, mouse controls, etc. It only displays on the main monitor and I don't know how to move it so it shows on another taskbar (the taskbar on my second display). The problem is opening programs or games opens on the main monitor which is whatever one the notification area is located.

The method I posted will let you move the taskbar with the notification area to your secondary display without changing your main display.

Apps usually open on the same screen they were last closed on. I'm sure there will be some exceptions though.

That is not the case (apps opening on screen I select them on) with me. when i open a browser, it will open to the last location I exited with. Usually the same with other apps, but if some will reset to a default position on the main screen. What I want is if I open a new browser or app from my second screen to have it open on that screen, but if I close it and open the browser or app again but from my main screen, it would open up on the main screen on a default location instead of the saved last known location it was open on.
The taskbar is present on both monitors as is the window menu, but only one has the notification area which is on the main monitor. there's no way to move the notification area from the main monitor to another display.

Yeah, not all apps (especially Store apps) may always open where last closed.

You should be able to drag the unlocked taskbar that has the notification area on it to the other display without changing your main display to do so.

I feel like it should be something you can do. It seems like ever since android 5.0 customization features and considerations have been taken or left out from newer updates. And since that happened, everyone (including microsoft) has been following in that direction with all user interfaces across the board.
While I don't necessarily think is the case with this kind of missing customization, I don't think multiple display considerations is a top priority as it isn't a typical set up for your standard consumer...
But the standard consumer is lazy and catering to that makes it frustrating for enthusiasts to get the kind of features (like in depth customization) we're looking for. It's the kind of thing I thought would make it to the developer options at least, not taken out altogether.
