Hi All, Microsoft is aware of this issue and has a team working on it. I don't have an ETA for a fix, but those involved agree this experience needs improvement.

Some serious work is also needed in allowable resizing for folder windows. Make one too narrow and it crashes with each attempt to open it. My desktop setup has included subject folders with shortcut icons through several versions of Windows. I've been setting folders to accommodate 4 icons across. Windows 8.1 and previous versions were very happy with that arrangement. It results in a fatality in 10. Once folder windows won't open, the width can't be corrected to stop the crashing.

Do you know what REALLY baffles me?

How is it that not one single member of the Microsoft development team or beta testers noticed this???
