Need to find GOM jump list registry entry/file location
I have my old OS drive connected to a new drive and clean install. I'd like my GOM jumplist history back. Where is it located please? Google has failed me

Welcome to TenForums @Muppet Rat
Jump lists (introduced in Win7) for all apps are stored in...
%appdata%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\AutomaticDestinations\
On your old disk (assuning it apears as drive E:) that will be:
E:\Users\<YourOldUsername>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\AutomaticDestinations
But identifying the one you want is going to be difficult - they are all cryptic names. For example, the one for Explorer is f01b4d95cf55d32a.automaticDestinations-ms
An automaticDestinations-ms file is a Structured Storage file and cannot easily be read in Notepad or the like, but the jump lists can be read with the Jump List View utility from NirSoft.

Its 'Application ID' column should give you the name of the one you are looking for. You'd need GOM installed on the new PC and to already have a jumplist before you can use Jump List View to identify it. The ID should be the same on the old PC.
It's two alternative names for the same folder. See the File Explorer address bar at the top of your screenshot? Click on an empty part of it to right of the folder names to see what I mean...
'Recent Items' is a special 'friendly name' but it's actual name in the ntfs directory structure is 'Recent'.
I got creative...
Searching the drive for the AppID (gained thu google) provided no results and Jump List View wouldn't show me anything from the old drive. It did show the new drive, so I copied the path and pasted it into explorer, and BINGO! Tweaked the address for my old drive, and ditto. Copy & paste later....
Thank you for your help Bree, it gave me the missing pieces
