    Custom Selection box colors no longer seems to be working in Win 10

    Changing the rgb values here used to work:HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Colors

    HotTrackingColor
    Hilight

    Was this ability to change removed in an update or is there a different method?

    Hello Ashley,

    It still works for me, but you do need to sign out and sign in to apply.

    @AshleyQuick,

    I just created a new tutorial for this to see if it may help for you.

    Just realized the (possible?) issue. The translucent rectangle seems to behave differently on the desktop as opposed to in Windows Explorer (ie. the screenshot in your tutorial). When you drag to make a rectangle on the desktop, the outline is white and the background is completely transparent. Are you noticing the same behavior?Maybe it's not applicable on the desktop.

    It should affect it on the desktop as well, although your desktop background may tend to have it blend it more with it.

    Double check to make sure the Show translucent selection rectangle box is checked below.

    Not having that checked was indeed the issue. Thank you, Brink! :)
