    hows about this...

I used winaero tweaker to add the icloud drive folder, and i gave it the proper icon. I tested it with movin a file in and out and it uploads properly.

However, the registry files that i pilfered from here apparently added items ina different way as they always appeared grouped together in alphabetical order.

The winaero tweaker method aadded it to the bottom of the list.

Any ideas on how I can move the item thats already in the list? I know it has something to do with the CLSID and the SortOrderIndex under normal circumstances, but with how winaerotweaker adds plain "folders" and not shells....

This is the point it goes above my pay grade.

Still, thanks for the replies gentleman <3

Heres what im working with Dropbox - 2018-06-28_19-49-40.png

id like to move the icloud drive to its proper location alphabetically :P worst case if i cant have it added the fundamentally sound way that the others were (via shell/registry entries).

    we did it team.

You just have to find the CLSID or search the registry ala the name (in this case iCloud Drive) and add (or modify if it exists) the 32bit value SortOrderIndex. Mess with the decimal values until it moves up or down to where you want it.

Best I can tell, if you find a neighboring item, and you use its sortorderindex it will put it alphabetically. (that or theyre sequestered off with index values corresponding to "sections" but either way, it works and im not going to spend any more time on it trying to find out the exact logistics.

On to my next adventure! (s)
