    Screen Saver

    Ahh I see, mine is always set to 3 min and never worked.
    I can't set my screen saver past 3 minutes. It works fine at 3 minutes but anything more it doesn't work.

    After doing a lot of google searching I came across 2 potential fixes. I used both of them and they have solved my problem. The screensaver stays at whatever time I set it for and it works (with or without passwords).
    Power Options - Add "Console lock display off timeout";

    (I think the "Add Console Lock" was what did the trick but I also did....)

    Local Group Policy - Reset to Default

    I can't find "add console lock". I don't see it in Power Options or Screen Saver.

    I cannot find HID on my computer!

    Just wanted to share my issues and resolution with everyone. At first I thought it might be related to multiple displays, but that wasn't the case. I removed all peripherals sans the keyboard and screen saver issue still occured.

    So after more reading in this thread, Thank You, I decided to disable all the "HID - compliant*" devices under Human Interface Devices. And what do you know, the screensaver now works.

    My next step will be to go through all the disabled devices and try and track down what they are related too. I have an X360 controller, keyboard, mouse and joystick currently connected and want to find out which "HID" device was causing the issue.

    The issue might not be vendor specific, but might be Microsoft based driver related for a certain input. I'm guessing there might be an issue with the driver constantly keeping the comms open with the device, hence not allowing power savings or the SS to work.

    I'll update this as I figure out what the culprit might be.

    Thanks

    Sorry to bring up an old thread but its hard to believe that its been almost 3 years and I still cannot get my screen saver to work unless I disable my Logitech G35 driver. Has anyone found a final fix that works?
