The fix did not work for me either. Starting to get very frustrated.

It is really frustrating. You don't realise how essential the functionality is until you discover your screen has been on for 2 days and that's really not good for the screen or your electricity bill!

Well, it work on 2 of the 3 computers I am having this issue with but did not work on the 3rd computer. Go figure, I am completely lost for now. At least 2 of the 3 are fix...

Someone will get it figured out....just be patient and keep trying suggestions. I haven't had the time to really mess with this much the last day and a half but hopefully tomorrow I can make some time.

I'm just another Windows 7 Ultimate to Windows 10 Pro upgrade with no screen saver activation or power management of the LCDs (1920x1080 and 1680x1050). None of the posted fixes have worked for me, either.

There are no wireless devices on my system, but there is an old Saitek X45 joystick (the manual calibration version). If that is the issue for me, I can remove it as I rarely do anything with it, anyway. There are a couple other USB devices (other than a generic mouse which uses Microsoft drivers and a Logitech Internet Navigator Keyboard). I have a Prolific USB-to-RS232 and an FTDI USB-to-RS232. I also have the drivers installed for working with my Android tablet (ADB stuff).

Yes, a password is active on the account. It is also set to be asked for if the screen ever locks on its own. My screen saver has always retained the time setting I give it, too.

In all of my research into this issue, there is only 1 common factor to everyone with the problem. Windows 10 is being used. Number of displays is irrelevant. CPU is irrelevant. BRAND of the CPU doesn't matter. Video chip is moot. I've even seen it stated that 3 identical systems aren't even consistent with this issue. Other than seeing improved video performance (gaming and WEI both show a speed increase), I would almost roll back to Windows 7 Ultimate. At least with that, I wasn't seeing this issue.

The registry edits appear to have resolved my problem for now. I'll be treating it as a temporary bodge until Microsoft hopefully sort this annoying little mess out.

Just in case it helps (likely not!), I happened to remove my XBox wired controller in parallel with applying that reg-fix. I broke the golden rule changing 2 things at once, so I have subsequently tried with it connected and it still works without fail so it is not connected to that peripheral being connected.

    The rest of my system spec you can see, although I also use 2 monitors (1 x 2560 x 1440 and 1 x 1920 x 1200).

    No Screensaver...

I had no screensaver problems with Windows 7 - 8 or 8.1... But sinse moving to Win 10, the screen saver will not work at all...

Have tried all the main setting options, all to no avail... It's as though its turned off, yet there's no means of turning a screen saver on or off on my machine...

    Any suggestions welcome...

    Robbie....
