Hi all. I too am having the same issue upgrading from 8.1 using a single monitor. I can preview the screensaver and it works fine but if I leave the PC alone to time it's self out it never does.
I vaguely remember the same thing happening when I went from 7 to 8. That time it turned out to be because I was using a wireless mouse. This was fixed by updating the drivers. None of this has worked this time. I even tried disconnecting the mouse and it still wont activate screensaver.
I have the same problem after updating from W7 to W10. I found a thread somewhere that attributes the screen saver issue with wireless keyboards and mice? Do those of you with the problem use these? I've been unsuccessful in finding the thread, think it's in Microsoft W10 support, still looking.
Here is another oddity about this issue. I had to reboot my machine last night and I forgot to manually turned off my monitors and when I got back on my computer this morning, the monitors were off. I will have to do some more testing on this to confirm.
No, in all the desk computers and laptops I have updated to windows 10 none of them are using wireless keyboards and/or mice. In fact all of them are very basic, just what came with the system from either Dell or ASUS. I haven't been able to find anything in common other than the only computer I haven't had problems with is the windows 7 update to 10, all others were windows 8.1 updates to 10.
I was reading somewhere this morning that one of the system updates in windows 8.1 had cause issues like this and if you uninstalled it it would solve the problem (but I haven't been able to find that update since I have updated to windows 10).
That came from;

I have only one monitor but similar problem. I set screen saver to 15 minutes but today checked. It is reset to 1 minute. Apparently this is common bug. I upgraded from Windows 7 Home, 64 bit to Windows 10. Upgrade rather painless. Everything seems to be working so far....except this.
If I reboot and leave it on the log in screen without touching anything mine also goes to sleep
but not once I actually get onto desktop or log into windows.
Two monitors also, upgraded from win7 had this problem so reformatted and installed completely fresh win10
same issue. Nvidia 670 newest garbage drivers
I got an update this morning and I am just rebooting the pc now. Hopefully Microsoft is listening and this update fixes the problem.
My problem is that when I have my G27 wheel connected, screen saver never kicks in, nor does 'screen off' i can still run the preview and move the wheel and pedals around without interrupting preview.. when I disconnect wheel it works as it should (upgraded from Win 7 ultimate to win 10 pro)
It did work before the first updates were release, so something happened along the way there!
