Have you updated your graphics drivers? If you click the preview button in the screensaver settings and don't touch the mouse or keyboard after clicking it, will it play briefly then cut off as if somebody moved the mouse or will it even play at all?

Searching for "Screen Saver" results in nothing. Very strange.
Found method to get to screen saver.
Settings | Personalization | Lock Screen. Scroll to bottom. My screen saver is working with lock after 15 minute timeout.

I'm watching this one because I have exactly the same problem and symptoms. Upgraded from Win7 to Win10 and now my screensaver will not kick in and the computer will not allow itself to automatically sleep. I can manually test the screensaver fine and the computer will happily go into sleep if prompted to do so.

I even tried a compete wipe and clean install of Win10, no joy.

    Evidently there's a common issue.

Atn256 are you using multiple monitors? I would like to upgrade my laptop but I am afraid I will have the same issue as my desktop pc.
No i'm only using a single monitor. I also updated my Windows 8.1 laptop to Windows 10 and are having no problems with that one. It might just be a Windows 7 to Windows10 issue..

Ok so that rules out the multiple monitor theory, looks like it might be a Windows 7 upgrade problem.

I am afraid it is not specific to windows 7. I have updated 4 PC to Windows 10. Three of the four PC's were running Windows 8.1 and on PC was running Windows 7.

The three PC's running Windows 8.1 all gave me this default 1 minute setting in the screen saver and I have been unable to change that time (I can change it but every time I restart the PC it defaults back to 1 minute).

The only PC that I haven't received this screen saver issue is the Windows 7 that I just updated early this morning. It is the only PC that seems to keep and hold whatever time I set in the screen saver. This is a Dell XPS desk top PC.

The other machines: The 8.1 machines are; Dell XPS desk top, Dell Laptop, and a ASUS laptop all 3 running 8.1 and when upgraded to Windows 10 would all default ti 1 minute for the screen saver.

Whatever it is I do hope the Windows folks can solve this issue for the screen saver defaulting to 1 minute and not being able to change it.

So.. still researching the issue with my fresh win10 install not sleeping, turning off screens or screensaver timeout. I still have not found anything. I even refreshed the image on the box and still nothing.

For those that are having the issue, are you monitors in device manager showing as the correct model or "generic PNP monitor"?

Seeing this thread has given me a slight sigh of relief in that I'm not the only one having this issue. I upgraded from Win 7 and I'm running 2 monitors. Still plugging away at it so if I find anything I'll post what I find.
