    In the Windows Registry, navigate to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\lnkfile and delete the NeverShowExt String;
    restart Explorer.
    (Back up the key first!)

    Restarting File Explorer [and the older Windows Explorer] can be done in Task Manager [End Task], right-click Windows Explorer then click Restart then wait or simply reboot the computer. Yeah, there's several places in Windows they haven't gotten the name changed to File Explorer.

    Problem is, they start showing up in the Start Menu as well!
    Guess they're superhidden for a reason!

    I know, it's ok, I need to show them for Stardock Fences issue and when will be solved, I hide them again.

    Throwing third-party software into mix of things does complicate problems.

    I now use Sordum.org's Restart Explorer because it saves any open folders then re-opens them again after Explorer restarts. It just saves time and is more convenient. YMMV

    Hope this helps...

    Unfortunately this doesn't seem to work on the latest Windows 10, nor on the Insider Development Builds like 21370.
    Any new idea ?
    Thanks.
