It's been added on the insider builds.
The problem was Windows user interface is made out of many Windows.shell components(like building blocks).
And the respective right click menus are part of each shell.

    An example:
    Code:
    Name
    Windows.Shell.StartLayoutPopulationEvents.dll
    Microsoft.Windows.ShellExperienceHost_10.0.17134.1_neutral_neutral_cw5n1h2txyewy.xml

Now that they have added a dark mode(not finished and still pretty useless) to File Explorer, the Desktop and File Explorer/Control Panel have dark menu's, when you switch your system from Light to Dark mode in Settings.

To sum it up, either switch to Insider, or wait till Fall for the next big upgrade.

Thanks guys, I looked up that file explorer and can't wait. I might go Insider but I'm iffy about it being stable enough for regular use. If I go Insider, does it automatically have this feature, or do I have to choose the right one?
It use the light/dark switch in personalization/color.

Change Default App Mode to Light or Dark Theme in Windows 10 | Windows 10 Tutorials

    Starting with
    Windows 10 build 17666
, dark theme support has been added to File Explorer, the File Explorer context menu, as well as the Common File Dialog (aka the Open and Save dialogs).

Brink , you always helped us in the past with all kind of tweaks etc.
Now, after upgrade to 1809 , we can not get the mouse-selected items in the context-menu in blue , we can not use the "Immersive ContextMenu=0 " key in ; HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\FlightedFeatures .
It used to work in 1803 , but this key does not change a thing anymore in 1809 !
I wonder if a clean install will fix it , or is this option no longer supported in 1809 , if so then a clean install wont help us either and we have to search for a new solution.
Will you, please, have a look at the problem , we hope you have a solution , like so many times you helped us !

I had this issue (context menu and address bar both staying white after turning on the dark theme). I managed to fix/reset/flush it by turning on high contrast mode and then turning high contrast mode off again.

Yes, this is an anoying bug!
I have tried your suggestion of selecting 'dark' apps theme and then turning 'high contrast' on and off again, but desktop context menus continue/return to be 'light (grey)' - with invisble white text therefore, dislayed within them.
I am tired of blaring white backgrounds and really like 'Dark Theme'.
Does anyone have a decent registry hack to turn the desktop comtext menus black in 'dark' theme mode please?
Looks like it could take MS months to rectify this - even if they are aware of/care about it it!
    Thanks,
