    Remove from context menu

Brink has posted a number of tutorials for removing specific program entries from the context menu. The screen shot is my current CM, showing two entries I'd like to get rid of. Is there a general method or places in the registry to look for?

You may wish to look at Nirsoft's ShellExview

In that tool (Shellexview aka shexview.exe) you can highlight the item you wish to disable, right-click, then pick disable from the resulting pop-up menu. Here's an example of me setting that up with the 7-Zip shell extension context menu:

    Thanks, all.

I found and killed the circled items with Shmnview just because I wanted to see the difference with Shexview. It seems that both work. Some programs do have options to display in context and some don't. Some, like Avast, sprinkle the menu with several entries. I'm still stumped on "Open in PDF-XChange editor."

Sorry for the late reply - the "Open in PDF-XChange editor" item can be disabled in ShellMenuView by looking for the extension .xcvault or file type XCVault.

I apologize if the topic is old, yesterday I had the same problem and in the google search I got this discussion.
I had the problem with PDF-XChange Editor. Solve the problem through CCleaner, disabling it in the contextual menu.

    Regards.
