UI for TV use?

Hi

Does anyone use Win10 on big screen TV?

what is the best way to do this, when I won't to open webpages (as single apps inside chrome) for streaming purposes etc.

It will be controlled with keyboard with airmouse.

I use Win 10 as my media center on my large screen TV connected by a HDMI cable, The only thing I remember that I had to change was to select HDMI in the audio properties to get the sound working.

I also had to change a property on the advanced settings of the TV and select " overscan ", I have since learned that some TV's have a different name for this and you may have to search for the correct term for your TV. The picture just did not look right until I found this setting you may be lucky and it works right out of the box.

But I really wanted to know how you use it, not the connection of it.
What UI does you use, before they had MediaCentre, this is no more. I know about Kodi, and use this on an Android box. But what does people use on the big screen TV?

Plex - and you can use mobike as remote control.

It's most child that's going to use it. And there will be most the webpage for RiksTV in Norway and maybe some local movies and YouTube.
Will Plex/Kodi could link to local webpage/webpageapp, word, and excel and so on.

Just go to Settings>System>Display>Detect second monitor. Then, once TV monitor is shown go under multiple display and make a choice:

1. Duplicate these displays (heat)
2. Extend these display
3. Show only on 1
4. Show only on 2 (better)

Stream to TV from browser or VIC. Keep Setting page open to revert to PC monitor or show only on 1.

Take good note that sometimes PC may boot into TV with a dead PC monitor. If TV input is not HDMI, it won't work. Plus, if there is no sound it is because of a sound card conflict (TV or PC).

Sound issue is rare in Win 10, but not with Linux.

But what I'm really asking is what kind of UserInterface you guys using in 10 foot view. Things have to be bigger.

Not using any UI , both monitors are FHD: 1920x1080. Desktop migrates in 43" monitor with option 4.

What you say is icons etc I big enough for 55" - 75" in normal Win desktop mode?

Kodi works just fine for playing media on Win 10 on big screen. One of the best 10ft interfaces that I know. To click on web pages outside Kodi, I exit Kodi. Any air mouse will do. Simple.
