Kodi works just fine for playing media on Win 10 on big screen. One of the best 10ft interfaces that I know. To click on web pages outside Kodi, I exit Kodi. Any air mouse will do. Simple.
It had being really nice if it could start everything from Kodi, and when you close an app/program it goes back to Kodi. Like it was the HomeScreen.

You can set the options on Power button on your computer so that computer will go into Sleep - not Shut Down. Then, when you boot Win 10 again, it will open in Kodi - but only if it was in Kodi before.

In the past it was possible to always boot computer directly into Kodi, but after many Win 10 upgrades those old tricks that worked, don't work anymore.

Yes, Home screen (or desktop view) of Win 10 is not a 10-ft interface. I placed Kodi icon in the middle of the screen, it's easy to see it from 10 or 12ft and click on it with air mouse.

I think what you are looking for is a replacement interface for Windows, try searching for Thinix Kiosk10. Thier pricing is for businesses but ask for home user pricing and is less. Free 30-day trial.
