You can set the options on Power button on your computer so that computer will go into Sleep - not Shut Down. Then, when you boot Win 10 again, it will open in Kodi - but only if it was in Kodi before.
In the past it was possible to always boot computer directly into Kodi, but after many Win 10 upgrades those old tricks that worked, don't work anymore.
Yes, Home screen (or desktop view) of Win 10 is not a 10-ft interface. I placed Kodi icon in the middle of the screen, it's easy to see it from 10 or 12ft and click on it with air mouse.
That's to bad, and it's to bad Microsoft don't make good on big screen TVs.
