Gimp has a few scripts for that, I haven't messed with it too much but occasionally I can make some strange effects by adding a inner shadow, choosing the color & then moving it around or just playing with it.

I guess I need to come up with a T Day sig soon...or dig out an older one

This is slightly different. The fonts have the colours embedded in them.

Hmmm...I wonder if that'll be on the update for my PS, something I'm long overdue for.

PS kind of works funny on mine, I installed the main program on an external HDD so as not to clutter the main HDD. I had to play around for a bit, but I got it to work that way.
