Yes I have a full basement Josey, all the houses here do, except for trailers. :)

I wish we didn't have those damn things. They sit tween 30 - 50 ft off the ground depending on where you are on the hillside. On the back porch you can reach right up & clean them.

I've tried to get people to come clean them, 2 of them said "no way, too high up" & someone else said they would have to buy a ladder that could reach that high & he'd get back with us. We never heard back again.

We have a 1/2 basement so I guess that's why we need em'

You do not get any water in it? That is the purpose of Gutters to keep rain out of the basemnt. When I lived in Phoenix no houses had them either but Phoenix is in a desert . Do you live is a desert? :) You must not get very much rain if you don't.

We have these covers over ours but sometimes stuff gets stuck in them, I can't get to the ones that are 60 ' high but on the garage I can.

Well, getting to them via the roof is out because we have such a steep angle on it. I tried getting down on my stomach a few years back & shimmying out & the pull from the angle makes you slide forward with the slightest movement.

What I wouldn't give to have a ranch style instead of this 3 story nightmare.

I have a two story Brick Colonial, and I only went up there once.

I went up a few years back before the nerve damage really kicked into high gear. I thought initially i would be able to get to everything. I was wrong.

Tomcat suggested some gutter guards, but they cost $$$$$, something we don't have a lot of.
