Currently, we can't edit:
+ more than x time (5?) our post.
+ post which has a reply,
+ our question (the post title).
It would increase the quality of question if you let user a complete control of their own post (like stack exchange and most forum do).
If it's a spam related problem, the "report post" button suffice.

I think part of the reason is that when you edit or delete content of your post, it may affect all members posts who took the time to reply. Same thing with altering the question in your original post title, then some of the responses may no longer make sense.
If you edit your post that had some replies, it would be confusing especially if those responding used the quote feature, then your post as quoted by them would no longer be the same.
You can edit your post but there is a time limit, just so many minutes after you post. You can make corrections.
