    @Wynona when you get here...

    Go to Outlook site and delete some machines from the list of active devices. I have had to do that once for my Exchange account. At least I think it was it. Go to your account, / Manage devices / Manage device limits (this one is a tab near the top)
    Thanks, Andre, but dummy me cannot figure out how to get to the "Manage your download devices" screen you show. Every time I try to do anything in Outlook, it's a different world out there! Never the same.

    BTW, I think I may have pinpointed the reason I'm asked for the password: my VPN is showing an IP address in a foreign country, and it seems this particular email account has picked up on that. However, none of my other emails have the same problem.

    I have to get ready to head out for some heavy duty shopping, so I can't work with this any more for awhile.

    I'll try again when I get back.

    Thanks again.

    Guess VPN could be the culprit. But if you want to check in Outlook... (assuming you have MS mail account, i.e. XY@outlook.com) click on your picture (or circle with your initials)and select account. Some of your devices will be listed there and on the right side of them there is link to "show all". That's it...

    It's on the west side, in the way to evening light. This can do magic... A lot of moisture in the air, clouds too

    Yes you are probably right. We also get sand from the Sahara occasionally which can cause similar effects.
